Spa Body Treatments

Our signature Spa Body Treatments are wonderful, completely unique treatments derived from different corners of the world. The products used in these treatments come from an Italian company called World of Beauty, and the products are completely ayurvedic.

What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is an ancient system of health care that is native to India. It teaches the use of plants, herbs, flowers, essential oils and extracts to help, nurture and heal the body.

Jamu Jasmine Massage

The Jamu massage is from Indonesia. It is an ancient massage treatment that was designed for brides-to-be. It was originally a right of passage massage for the young woman about to enter her new life. The massage was performed on the future bride for 40 days in a row prior to her wedding. It was a nurturing, relaxing, beautifying treatment that prepared the new bride for her wedding night. Today this treatment is performed on men and women with wonderful results. The body is massaged with warmed, wonderfully scented balms and oils in figure eight motions. Then pure jasmine powder is mixed with the warmed balms and worked into the body. This sensorial escape is a very special experience. The balms are highly nourishing for the skin and work on many levels of the body, penetrating deeply into the muscles and lymphatic and nervous systems.

Warm Herb Pack Treatment

Also known as Pindasweda, this treatment also comes from India. Finely ground herbs are wrapped in cotton and warmed. The herb wraps are then dipped into warm ayurvedic Shantala Oil and used as a tool in a wonderful ancient Marma massage. The Marma massage follows the Marma lines of the body; providing a deep sense of relief and stimulating vital points. Over 30 herbs work their magic penetrating the muscles and even helping to eliminate cellulite.

Vanilla or Lavender Salt Massage

This wonderful treatment begins with a Prana massage. Prana means ‘breath’. And this massage is a light touch therapy designed to follow and encourage the breath of the client. This blissful therapy uses ayurvedic Aura Elixer, a light beautiful aromatic oil that deeply relaxes the body. This is followed by a gentle salt scrub with your choice of Vanilla or Lavendar Salt, which is mixed with the warmed vitamin rich oil. The result is a deeply relaxing treatment that leaves your skin feeling alive, fresh and renewed.
